I am looking at a 1750 Crestlliner FishHawk boat with a 115 Yamaha four-stroke. Comes with all the usual stuff.
What do you guys think of this package? What do you think of the Yamaha motor?
Thanks. Sure appreciate your guidance.
Oh, the price with my trade is $14K on the trailer.

Sounds like a very good package. I have only heard good things about the Yamaha 4 strokes. I have last years 1850 FH with a Suzuki 4 stroke. The boat and motor have been excellent. A couple options you may want to consider with your new boat: passenger console, anti feed back steering, captain chair slider, recirc on front and rear livewell, extra seat, spare tire, and transom saver. Good luck with your new boat.

Also make sure that you're getting a heavy enough trailer. I would imagine a 2800# trailer would be sufficient, although depending on how much you trailer your boat, you may want brakes too. Anit-feedback steering, 24 volt battery system for the bowmount and an onboard charger are nice to have. If you're putting a depth finder on your bow, I'd also consider upgrading to a MinnKota universal sonar model so you don't have to deal with the transducer cord.

Have fun - nice boat.

Sounds like a deal! You will be happy with engine too. Get the extra's if you can! CD, bow mount finder, locks for the storage compartments, snap cover, etc....I found that my next boat will have all the goodies loaded rather than trying to upgrade......

Not trying to sidetrack this thread but can somebody elaborate on what some of these add-ons are?

Specifically anti feed back steering, captain chair slider, extra seat (why do you need one).

Might be in the market for a new boat within a year or so, never too early to start looking into the specifics...

An update: due to your help I added the Minnekota universal and an additional #125 finder for the bow. Added slider seats and an additional seat. Snap covers a poor idea so I added custom made waterproof cover. Trailer is a #2800 w/spare. Deleted CD and sound stuff since I'm out there to listen to the lake and the loons.
I got the Crestliner Red color. Should be able to pick it up tomorrow in time for the big weekend. By that I mean I will be able to spend the weekend waxing it and fitting it out so I can get out on the water AFTER the big weekend. HA Thanks again for guidance.

I have a 202 tournament crestliner and love it. I had the 1750 FH with 115 Johnson 2 stroke and I liked that one too. My personal opinion on the slider is to not get one. What I noticed is the height is raised 2-3 inches. Just enoough to put your eyes above the windshield. I took mine off and put the regular kind on. My neighbor also bought a 1850 sportfish, and didn't ask me about it. When he got it home he did the exact same thing I did. Just my opinion. I'm also only 5' 11". But as far as the boat you will love it. Also keep an eye on the bilge, the 5 amp fuse wasn't enough so I switched to a 7 and it works perfect. Hope this helps. KidWalleye

I agree with the sliders. Im 6'6" and I would love one but Im so hard on seats all I did was get more wind and bend them. i just made the choice to have a little less leg room.
On board charger is great and the universal sonar is almost a must have if ya spend any time up front trolling. Get some flush mount ram rod holders. Theres 8 on my boat 4 on each side ofcourse. Auto pilot is also nice when retieng baits. Extra seat a good heavy anchor especially in current and GPS are great. Sounds like a nice rig. I really like my 115 yamaha 4 stroke. Also a galvanized trailer is the way to go.
