DrJ
I'd like to put up a 22x24 ft garage this spring. My neighbor is a carpenter and said he can do it except for the floor. Anyone know the approx. cost for a concrete floor and whats a fair labor price to build it? Any info would be great.Or total cost for a contractor to do the whole thing. Thanks DrJ. I think your best bet is to call a couple companies and get some quotes or estimates. Than you can compare them and get a fair labor cost. Things might come up in the quote that you haven't considered.Id want to see some kind of blue print before I trusted someone to build me a garage.is this going to be attached or detached? How many stalls? What is your driveway made out of? Is there going to be an apron? there is lots of things to consider here.

LightningBG
I'm guessing materials at about $5K, but that can vary greatly depending on what is used (windows, types of doors, shingles, siding.)
11-87
I don't know whether you've checked out materials costs yet, but I'm in the business, and it don't look like things will be getting any cheaper. If your Extremely Serious, I know a place that has a great sale coming up that would save you big bucks.. but this weekend is the time to buy!! Steve Foss
If I remember correctly, the slab for our 24x24 garage (no apron included) went about $2,200 and was put in by a local concrete tradesman. Prep work (pit run sand laid and leveled) went about $900.We bought a Menard's kit assembled to our specifications, and did the construction ourselves with help from a few friends. I think materials came in just over $5,000. This was three years ago.
GSB Ice Man
If you are planning a floating slab type shed, it will take close to 9 yards of concrete with the thickend edges. I would normally charge close to $2150 plus site prep on a job like this.1 crs. of block would be an additional $425.
11-87
If your gonna buy, Menards has lumber on sale through this weekend.. and you can get a rebate to send in and save an addtional 11%.
upnorth
About 4 years ago we had a garage builder put a 24x32 garage for us. Slab, materials, and labor was about $11,000 no apron. That was just plain wood siding and no wiring.
