Pretty nice shelter

I came across this shelter the other day ... by far the nicest I've seen. On Itasca Driftskipper's Trail south of Grand Rapids. Included fully-stocked firewood bins with kindling, newspapers for starting fires, picnic table, outhouse, solar-powered light, candles in wall-mounted holders, maps, guest register, grills, grilling tools (tongs, etc), garbage/recycling cans, and more. I might have to check this club out ... they seem to do things right. To top it off, the spur trail leading into the shelter was freshly groomed ... nice!

Yeah, my name's in the register. Was there last year. All the local clubs around there do a really nice job, and most of them have pretty nice shelters, but that one appears to be the creme' de la creme' from what i've seen.

That is definitely the nicest shelter in the state! cool I just pray that everyone that goes by and uses it can just leave it the way they found it! Or better then the way they found it. Just think how nice we could have things for ourselves all over the state if people could keep things the way they were found. I would be up for a ride that way sometime as well. wink
