So, i downloaded the navionics app for iphone today while out fishing on Tonka. Its very cool - and so far I like it alot.
So, heres a very naieve question. I really dont know how these things work - obviously it must be working off my GPS on the Iphone - but does it also rely on my Cell signal to work as well?
In otherwords, if I head to Canada this Summer and am out of cell signal - will this navionic maps app still work? Would it be just like having a "H20" GPS unit or similar??
Or do you need the cell signal for this to all work as well.

We're usually fully stocked but you caught me on a bad night!
Tuesday night is usually "board meeting" night if you know what I mean. Stop in and have a tasty beverage some Tuesday night after these holidays are over and things get back to normal.
