Anyone seen these lures around?

I think they were called Ronny Birds and they stopped making them. I have two left and they work really pretty well on Walleye, Perch and the blue one is what I caught the Laker in my Avatar on! So, if maybe any bait store owners have some dusty old ones sitting on the shelves somewhere let me know I will come and get them. Thanks!

I have a few left. Yes, they are a neat bait and have performed well for me on most all species. I can't remember who it was but one of my friends used to get them from the guy that made them, after they disappeared from the baitshop shelves. I'll ask around.

JR tackle has a lure that is close to the look and close to the same function called the flasher spoon. If you can't find the same lure, this might be an option.

They are called the "Ronnie Bird" lure.

The web site is down, looks like the domain name was snapped up, and is for sale...not a good sign.

I was unable to locate any on-line sales or retail connections for them.

Try looking in HSO-Classifieds . That is a good spot to look .

The JR flasher doesn't work as well. The blades are too close to the treble and they get hung up. You have to stop every couple minutes and check the jig to make sure it's not tangled.

They were actually produced by a couple of brothers out here in CNY, about 20 minutes from where I live. I have a buddy who knows them. His guess was about 30 years ago is when they started.

The flippers made a a clacking rattling sound before rattling spoon were around.

I'd imagin some mom n pops shop around here has some. My buddy didnt think they still made em. He thought they might take orders but he also heard they sold the rights???

Thanks all. Ya, it doesn't look good for finding any of them. I was kind of hoping some small bait store would have a few in the corner still but not really seeing any info, that anyone has them. To bad they really work well and I am almost afraid to use them because I don't want to lose them.
