Free fishin trips

I just saw a place in Canada that is giving away a free 5 day fishing trip everyday for the next 100 days. It says you can enter every day. They give you everything meals gas boats cabin and flyout trips. I know you cant put links up here but it’s a lodge at bakersnarrows Manitoba. Pretty cool deal!

A couple years ago I registered for a free fly in trip at a sports show in ST Cloud.
About a week later I got a letter saying I WON! But yes, it was only for 1 person, and the price for a second person was twice as high as it should have been, go figure. Looks like a scam to me my friend.

Ya several of those places use that scam! Still way to much $. Tells ya about a place when they have to use scams to get bussiness.

Yup, you are correct about the trip you won in St. Cloud, everyone that enters wins! They make it sound so great but in the end, you won't save much, if anything. Just a scam in my opinion!

I was curius about those trips so I called the lodge. They told me the trips are free and you do not have to bring anyone else with you. there is no purchase neccesary and if you drive to the lodge you only have to buy fishing license and pay the tax. And you can get the tax rebated when you come back across the border. The trips are also transferable so you could give them to someone else if you wanted. Or maybe everyone who won one could go together as a FM trip.

Here's some food for thought. Where will you be staying while you're there, probably with one of the guides in their quarters. A little shack with no windows, lots of spiders and I could go on and on!!!!!
Maybe in the fish house. Nice odor in there!
Or next to the bear bait! <yuck>
Plus you get the boat that capsized last year and the motor doesn't always start...

I took up one of these free trips. It was Naughty Pines Fish Camp.

Yep, I got a free trip. The only condition was that I had to bring atleast one other paying guest.

So, I gave the free trip to my dad, and I paid my way.

It was worth the money.
We arrived on Saturday, left on Friday.
We had a 16 foot Lund with a 20hp.
Unlimited gas and minnows.
Great cabin just right.
Wonderful hospitality (plus one of the dock boys went to college with my neighbor's son, so he gave me all the hotspots)

We brought our own food (could of had prepared meals for an additional $200 each)

It was the best fishing trip I have ever been on. Mostly because it was just me and my dad (of 77years at that time). We averaged 60 walleyes a day, plus about 30 bonus pike. Dad could only walleye fish, (too old and really not that interested in casting all day). So we pulled spinner rigs that whole trip, with a little jigging here and there. Dad caught an 8lb walleye, two pike that were pushing close to 20 pounds, and we had a lot of good memories.

Yes, it is advertising to get people there. I liked the place and will go back again some day.

So, in a nutshell, they aren't all that bad!

I too won a trip at the sportshow a year or so back. But I needed to bring 2 other people. They would have paid twice as much. We didn't go. I stayed home and took a trip up to Mille Lacs instead.
