TroutYammer
What kind of rope (color, thickness, strength and lenght) do you all recommend for tying on to the spear for Dark House Spearing?
Spearing Machine
Not sure of the thickness or strength of rope I have but I guess its a pretty standard rope. White in color about 10 feet in length. Helps for when your in deeper water and to let the fish thrash on the bottom for a bit.
spearchucker
I think I use 3/8 or 1/4 nylon rope is what I use.
MJ1657
I have heard parachute cord works good and does'nt get tangled up as easy. Has anyone used it? Where do you get it?

I have picked it up from the Military surplus store just south of Little Falls (Crazy Jim). Ive also had luck asking people in the military. The big "C" in Rogers has it. That's all I use it works great and it's nice and limp

TroutYammer
Thank you everybody! This is such a great web sight! I mean where else can you go and get lots of information on such an esoteric subject as to what kind of rope to tie on to your Darhouse Spear! Excellent! Once again thank you! MJ1657
Probably should'nt use big words like esoteric on here. You will confuse most of us.
