"be carefull making it too big".....

What we have found is 5'x5' is perfect for our uses. You can easily see/shoot all 4 ways from the middle on a swivel bar stool. The old 4x4s were too small....we were having a tough time swinging the rifle around, without "clunking" on something. We only have 1 in the stand at a time, but if you have 2, you would have to expand it one way some.

I built a box stand that I have hung on the side of a tree. I'm having trouble with red squirrels eating the plywood. Anyone have any tricks to keep red squirrels from eating the plywood?

I want to build an enclosed stand like some of these here but don't want it eaten up.
