i dunno about being that spendy

i guess if you bite on every gadget out there

i still just use xt trilene usally 8lb

i let out enough line when i feel it hit bottom i reel up a couple cranks

i'm by no means a crankin expert but do catch a fair amount of fish

i dont lose alot of baits and kinda stick with proven ones

shad raps huskies thunder sticks i'm talking walleyes but have found that they seem to work pretty good for gators to

and i have many to choose from as the gf has one of everything made!! lol

Ouch! I just have to supply my wife and myself, having clients can get expensive for sure. I don't feel so bad now.

I wish that was the case but in reality its my brother and his kids winkgrin

Actually its so cool to see them catch there first Salmon,Laker that its not a problem.

Ya for me its what I live for. I have very few vises and this is the biggest one. Chew being the only other. Thats slowly going by by though. Whatever expenses happen due to fishing are well worth it to me.

Heck I just found 18 more discontinued hot baits and got them. grin

I too have a crankbait problem (as well as a spinner component problem), and this thread has been more than entertaining. It's nice to know there's others out there that share the same affliction.

The only thing that I didn't see in this thread that I would consider a must have for trolling, is the latest Precision Trolling book. This book tells you how much line you need to have out to attain a certain depth with a given crank. This is where your line-counter reels come in handy, and those little clip-on-the-rod counters aren't terrible either given their cost.
