Online registration is slick

Recommended Posts

This morning was windy cold and did I mention windy? At 9:30 two does presented themselves at 150 yards and I thought it was a good excuse to get down so after downing both my father shoots another deer. The tempurature started to climb and my dad nearly sliced off his pinky trying to gut his deer. It was homeward bound because my father needed to get stitches (7 in all), I had to register the deer online because my neighbor and I skun the deer to get them to cool off. Once you get to the main page it is about 2-3 click to where you enter the tag number and a few simple questions later your done except you have to have a pen handy to write the confirmation number on the possession tag. Easiest thing I have done all year!

I agree with you and some, I registered my fall turkey this year online because the local registration place was closed so i tried the online registration and it was the easiest thing i have ever done. Like you said, all you need (besides a computer) is a pen to write the confirmation number down on your license.

For me personally it was B$. Minutes a way from 3 guys about to skin and cut my deer up, I call in only to be told I had to personally register my deer in person (because our zone is somewhat in the proximity of the TB zone). No big deal, drop the deer into the pick up, drive into town to find out the DNR is not testing at that registration station this year. big waste of time and was kind of po'd a bit.

Anyway, it sounds like it's the cats meow, just not in my case. Would have been nice if they would have said something at time of purchase or at least printed on your liscense or tag that you have to register your deer in person in that area. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
