SportFishin'
We had our English Setter "Sage Creeks Mountian Talia" out for her first wild bird hunt saturday at 18 Weeks Old in South Central Montana with live gun fire, but the 2 Griffons were doing all the retrieving. Not gun sensative at all!! Need to work on bringing the tail up higher but don't want to mess with her holding steady points right now. We started the morning with some gun intro training in the early AM at our pointer club location north east of Billings. Things went so well there that my son Geoff and I decided to go run her with the 2 big dogs and see how she does on wild birds. Lets just say she has the drive and desire and we are very happy so far at 18 weeks with her performance!! Talia a whole 25lbs on her first wild Sharptail!! All in all a great saturday with 1 Rooster & 3 Sharptails bagged. Good hunting! May your barrels be swinging with birds a dropping! Chris
2thepointsetters
Looks real good for a young pup. There is nothing better than seeing a dogs first wild bird point.
870Express
Great pics. Good decision on letting that pup develop point before fussing with styling her up.

setterguy
Lots of times that tail will come up on its own once she gets some confidence. She looks real intense and on task. Not much you can ask for at that age. Congrats.
