Jordyn Kaufer
Just got a 9.5 horse Evinrude from my uncle because one cylinder isn't working on it so he's lettin me fix it up and keep it for duckin.. My question is what kind of paint should I get to paint it camp? And what should I do to prepare the motor to paint it and then how do I go about painting it?Thanks,Jordyn
bobbymalone
you could just buy one of them camo outboard covers and pop it on when you get set up and pop it off when you pick up. it's basically just a bag that goes over the motor and is made out of tough waterproof fabric.they go for $10 and are a lot easier than worrying about paint. HugoBox
Good suggestion on the bag. I used to even put the decoy bag over the motor. That said, painting it up your own way is a fun project. Google "steps to painting a shotgun" and you'll find a great step by step guide hat i used for painting my Gold camo. The same process would work well on a motor. I'm happy with how my un urned out. Good luck and congrats in he new toy.

The_Duckslayer
A buddy of mine was bored one day and took camo duct tape and covered his motor. Stayed on there for years and did not look all that bad! Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
Stringerless!
Paint the thing. Camo colors at menards $ 4.00 a can. I just painted the jon boat again 10 minutes ago. I change colors every weekend to match conditions.
