Trade ins?

I'm ready to move up to a nicer bow. Are there archery stores that take trade ins? Of course I could just sell it here but I was just wondering... I have a PSE "Beast" that's 3 or 4 years old.

Typically, they'll give you about a third of what you could get for it if you sold it yourself.

Most proshops will take trade-in's, but be prepared to get about half of what you paid for it, perhaps less. Bows depreciate like cars, some hold their value better than others. You'll be better off trying to sell it outright on the secondary market and then going to a shop and buying new but sometimes the hastle outweighs the gain in income and it's easier to just trade it in.

X2 with what Sticknstring said. What I would add would be to take off the stuff you have currently on your bow. Unless you are stuck on replacing everything you can save 200-300 bucks on accessories.

yeah bows are like cars you wont get near the money back as what you put into it, i would sell it online first before trade in

Sell it or save it for a backup. I sold my old bow to a buddie who wanted to get into bow hunting. He is a little odd and I doubt he has even shot it in the past two years but at least he's got a bow and I converted those $$$ into some new arrows and broadheads.
