Impressive series sir. I'm struck by how close you were able to get to the redhead. The rabbit and the mink are great, how cool that the mink just popped out where it did. Great low angle on the immie Great Blue Heron.

Thanks for the comments.. smile

Shawn, that redhead was with a small flock of 6-7 mallards in Agate Bay. The mallards have obviously been fed by humans and were begging for food. When they came out onto the shore the redhead would swim right up to the shore line and wait for them. I think it may have had a dead beat mother who did dumped a egg on a mallard hens nest and that was its family.

Okay, this is really strange. I had not read your response until today. This morning I went to agate bay and photographed a (lesser scaup? female), that was hanging around with some mallards.....(same ones?) The scaup was strangely tame, allowing head shots even! I will get around to posting them some time, but how strange is that. Maybe those mallards have some type of domesticating effect on the wild stragglers that pass through.
