Metro Grouse?

Agree, I've never heard of grouse in Carver county.

I don't know about East and SE of the metro, I've never hunted over that way.

In the past I've gone to the Sherburne refuge and the Mille Lacs WMA for grouse. Been many years since I hunted those spots. They were never all that great for grouse, but there were some birds there and plenty of room to hunt as long as you were willing to walk.

As the others have noted, not sure there are any in the southwest part of the cities, but I do know for a fact that there are birds to the southeast. A buddy lives in Red Wing, and on several occasions, we have gone just a few miles out of town and come back with a few grouse for our efforts.
