On Saturday we caught our fish in 1ft of water in the heaviest cover u can find. The fish were sitting on the outside weeds last week but that all changed on Saturday. Caught my pb that day that went 6.4lbs.

Made it out tonight for a couple hours on a shallow dirty lake in the Alex area. The bite was pretty good. Managed around 20 fish with the biggest going right at 20 inches and thick. Fish were caught off a steep drop on an inside turn with cabbage on it. Fish were stacked up thick but were really finicky, really had to coax them into biting. Got a couple walking cranks through the cabbage, but the best bite was definitely on soft plastics. Really had to hit em in the face to get them to bite, even then had many that just mouthed the bait or bumped it without eating it.
