Cell phone chargers

My cell phone uses a mini USB style power jack. Will any cell charger with that jack work, or are there other issues to consider?

should work, all connectors of that type should output the same voltage. Europe just passed a law that all cell phones shall have the same type of charger.

I have used several really cheap ones from cell phone shop. net and they have always worked fine. Like 2.99 cheap.

The only ones I would stay away from are the ones with the interchangeable leads that best buy and target sells. I went through 2 of them and they are terrible.

The nature of USB is that voltage is standard, and the plugged in device requests how much current it wants. Not sure if it works that way with a charger but my brother/friends often uses my charger with no problems.

As long as its mini use or usb you should be fine. They are all universal and eventually every phone will be mini usb. When you get into the other connections you can run into problems. My phone is mini usb and I love it! Got the wall charger, car charger, My PS3 works as a charger and my computer works as a charger!

Everything is going to micro USB.

I had mini-USB chargers/phones and now my phones are micro so I had to change chargers again. Frustrating.

When are they just going to come up with wireless charging? Or have they already?

I've tried everything I could find that uses a mini-usb to charge my Blackberry. The only one that didn't work was the car charger for my Garmin NUVI GPS. For some reason it just didn't recognize it. Never damaged the phone though.

Just get one of the universal USB plugs for the vehicles. I have one that just has 2 usb plugs on it. Then you just plug in the cord that came with the phone.
