Hey guys, kinda a wierd question, but i was just fishin the other day, and was wondering if using a snap swivel will make a lure look more fake or anything, idk cuz some people prefer to tie their lures directly to the line, but if u use a snap swivel it makes changing lures much much faster. Just curious.

i like to use the ones without the swivel, it tends to weigh the lure down more than normal. not sure about it being more fake, but it hasnt stopped me from using it yet. and i agree on the quick changing of lures...

I use swivels on everything other than plastics and topwaters. Like Kuhn said sometimes it will weigh down the top waters a bit to much so they don't float like you'd like them to and it may mess up the presentation of the worm you may be using. But other than that I love using them for the quick change. I usually try to use the smallest or lightest swivel I can find.

I'm with Deitz. Just something else to fail on ya. I used them years ago for their quickness, but after having a few fail on me I decided I was never going to use them again. I can cut off a lure and tie a new one on in probably 20 seconds when I have to, but I have enough combo's that I don't have to retie very often.
