My guess is the night of the 15th I will be hauling a couple of these bears out of the bush. I hope the heat disipates from here on out. If you are jones'n for the season, head on up and help on the retrievals coming up. That would give you a fix to tide you over.

How did opening weekend go for you? How do you think next weeks warmer weather will affect things?

The season opened on Sunday the 15th. One hunter had a bad placed shot and lots of tracking, but blood dried up and was not able to recover the bear. It was an average sized bear. The 2 other hunters seen some bears, but passed waiting for the bigger ones. Very windy and rainy yesterday. Tonight is just windy with cloud cover. The warmer weather won't really be an issue I don't believe, it hasn't been in previous years anyway. 100% opportunity for over 8 years and 90-100% success.
