Roscoe16
How was the winter out South Dakota way and how is nesting success and brood survival looking? I hunt the north central part of the state. Thanks.Roscoe16
carpshooterdeluxe
hard winter, lots of water this spring. localized hail and tornadoes, more water this summer, hawks, owls, coons, skunks, haying, mowing... its a wonder there are actually any birds left out here! numbers will be down from last year but should still be respectable is my guess... sdpikehntr
Around here the numbers will most likely be up between aberdeen and redfield there seems to be plenty of broods, then you start to get into alot of h20. Should still be a good fall. Can't wait until go time.

lindy rig
Any crop / water reports just west of Aberdeen a bit?
sdpikehntr
Harvest just started on beans, and the corn will not be far behind. If it quites raining the crops should be out within 30-45 days; if its like last fall... put the logging tires on the combines and wade'em through. cold one sd
Lots of standing water and submerged roads around here so getting around could be tough. Kind of a case of "you can't get there from here." lol Farmers will be grumpy about hunters tearing up the roads as usual. But if ya want land owner contacts, just stop on a gravel road, fire your shotgun and you will meet one within about two minutes. Personally, I will spend about the first month of the season hiding in my basement where it is safe. Have some fun for me.
