Born2Fish
Quote:Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress is in Mississippi visiting Brett Favre, according to reports from a Mississippi television station. WDAM is reporting that Childress is in Hattiesburg to visit with Favre. The station reports that both Childress and Favre were seen at the University of Southern Mississippi's 7-on-7 passing camp for area high school athletes. They spoke with Childress at the camp who said he arrived in Hattiesburg Sunday night and didn't know how long he would stay in Mississippi. Favre has yet to tell the Minnesota Vikings if he will return for a 20th season in the NFL, but most people with the team and around the NFL would be stunned if he did not come back. He had arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle in May and has been throwing to receivers at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg for a few weeks. The Vikings have made it clear to Favre that they would be fine with a similar timeline to last season, when he joined the team after it broke training camp in Mankato, Minn., in time for the second game of the preseason. It didn't take long for him to get settled in. Favre had one of the best seasons of his career, with career bests in completion percentage (68.4), quarterback rating (107.2) and fewest interceptions (7), while throwing for 33 TDs and 4,202 yards to lead the Vikings to an NFC North title. zamboni
I am going to let you all in on a little secret. He is going to play this upcoming season. There, I said it. But I bet there will still be 3,057 Will he/Won't he posts on here. He WILL. Now, lets sign TO, buy a roll of duct tape for his big mouth and win the Super Bowl. LMITOUT
I agree. There is no way that he is going to retire and this speculation is a waste of time. The little boy has cried wolf too many times, and you know the rest of that fairy tale.

Mudcat21
He may be coming back, but the huge question is going to be his protection from our line! I'm not so comfortable with their ability to protect him for all those games. Skoal Vikes!

I'm not so comfortable with their ability to protect him for all those games. Skoal Vikes! I agree 100%. I thought center and guard should have been a top priority in the offseason and they did nothing to improve it. We lead the league in runs for a loss last season. That's unacceptable.
