Nice surprise yesterday while fishing for bass!!

I fish for bass 95% of the time in the summer. I fish for walleyes in the if winter of the bass just aren't biting. Yesterday my wife and I had been fishing for about a half and hour, I throwing a spinnerbait and BAM! I figured it was a northern, he ran me out I think 5 times before I got a look at it. HOLY [PoorWordUsage] it was a walleye. After I seen that I was shaking so bad I could hardly hold the rod in my hand. I got ran out a couple more times before Emily missed him with the net the first try, but I got it back up shortly and she got it in the net!!! My biggest walleye by 8 inches. It measured just shy of 29". I am bringing it to the taxidermist tomorrow along with a 9" gill Emily caught a few weeks ago from the same lake.

I did the same thing,but my Walleye was not that big,only 21in. and I hooked him on a rubber worm. Never had one bite on a rubber worm before. Jerry

Caught a couple pigs with spinners shallow this year as well...nice job taking that dirty bottom feeder out of the lake so it cant eat anymore bass!
