terrible_fisherman
I finally got out and did some shooting yesterday. Lots of carp around but I couldn't hit a darn thing. Something to said for being rusty I guess. How do you guys practice when you are not shooting on the lake? Is there an effective way to try on land? Archerysniper
I practice on the garbage the other slobs have thrown into the lakes and rivers put it in the boat and throw it away at home. You could try some regular arrow just to get the feel for shooting again or fill a plastic bottle with water and sink it for practice just remember to remove it from the lake. TylerS
I used to always practice in my yard. Throw out a couple empty plastic bottles or aluminum cans and go to town. I usually shoot Muzzy arrows, so when I practice I just remove the tip for easy retrive and arrow removal. When I shoot, I aim for the object and let her rip. More often than not I hit low...which is perfect for bowfishing.Remember, if in doubt of how low you are aiming when bowfishing, aim lower...and then lower again!
