jay83196
Anybody use the regular white flash trail cameras at their stations? I have heard the flash scares bears I've used mine in the past for deer and it doesn't but I am wondering if that's true with bears before I invest in ir flash cameras.. thanks
jerkbait
I seem to get plenty of bear pics on my trail cams that are set out on the deer trails for deer.
jay83196
You don't think they get spooked by flash? I have had them on mine also but walking by never tried a flash at a station, I have turned the flash off in the past but then I miss whats hIttIng it at night. BeezeHound
My group has never had a problem with bear getting spooked by the flash. We set the timers for 30 minutes and only one picture per trigger so maybe that helps. They might get spooked if the flash is going off on them every minute or 5 with a 3 pic burst or something like that.
Boar
When i bought the moultry 40 with flash I bought it cause of the price an needed another at that moment, Idont belive they spook the bear but agree with beeze that if you buy a flash dont set to trigger to go off a half a dozen time per minuet, pics are cool but how many dose a pwerson need of the same animal, a low trigger count is all a pderson needs an willhelp eliminate the spook factor parinoia. Cant imagion how annoying it would bwe for a camera flsh to go off a half a dozen times while I'm trying to eat. Daytime no problem, they wont even see it, but low light period an nighttime???? I'm gonna spend extra coin an stick with IR. My 2 cents. Boar

HeviShot
I used flash cameras for the past few years and I am running numerous bait stations. Never had one problem with a bear not returning everyday because of the flash.

HunterLee
The bears i had pics of last year were with all flash. Didn't seem to bother them, but getting out of the tree and getting a flash at dusk/dark makes it tough to see for a bit.

Random guy
I always get it when I go to check the camera. Take it out of the box and Whammo! Shot #2 right in the pupils at two feet.
