Shoot2Kill
Anyone else in the pre opener fog? My wife is in a wedding late on Saturday afternoon and she has the rehearsal dinner tonight that I'm required to go to for some reason, so I figured I'd better get everything in the boat last night so it's ready to hook up and go at the wee hours of opening morning. So I get everything I think I could possibly need loaded into the boat and stand there staring at the boat, yep....good to go. This morning I wake up after a terrible night sleep tossing and turning in anticipation of teeth and it hits me - I didn't put the rods in the boat! DUH! hahaha....all of that prep work and I forgot pretty much one of the most crucial items! Wow that would have sucked to pull up to the launch and realize the rods are hanging up back at home! My head has been in a fog all week.Anyone else stuck at a desk today planning for one of the longest days of the year?
50inchpig
I'm pretty well prepared to fish tonight but have been thinking a lot about what kinds of equipment/trip/boat disasters will befall me this year.

hunterjoe
Yeah, pretty hard to concentrate on work when I'm trying to decide which new lure to chuck first. And I think I'll get a couple hour nap in before I head out the door at 11. Right.
nater
This morning I wake up after a terrible night sleep tossing and turning in anticipation of teeth I hear that right there, usually I sleep good but after loading the boat with rods, big baits, frabill, bumpboard, and all the essentials must have got my blood pumping more then I thought! Maybe that will mean a quality night sleep tonight.....sure. I should be get more sleep then you guys but the hour and a half drive at 3-4 in the morning will be long but full of anticipation to get the first few casts in. Those metro fish probably have their clocks set to midnight to run deep
goblueM
i'm sure they have a premonition nater... just like when you see the big buck out in the field in late summer but never see him when hunting season opens! the lake where i'm going tomorrow had fish chasing my bass lures all over this weekend, but i have a feeling there won't be a musky in sight tomorrow
