Now I know why opener is a week later than normal

I just figured out why the opener is 1 week later than normal. To trick mother nature. No one told her that it wasnt this weekend and she turned the snow blower on! Started here just about a 1/2 hour ago.

Now lets hope she doesnt catch on to the game plan and throw something worse next weekend.

Minnesota opener is listed as 2 Saturdays before Memorial Day weekend, which means 5/7 years it is the 2nd weekend and 2/7 it's the 3rd weekend (give or take due to leap years).

I got up this AM to see winter return.

Supposed to get nice tommorrow and the rest of the week.

i checked the 7 day forcast for Annandale the high on open is going to be around 69!!! yes!!!!

it was a hundred degrees yesterday now a cool down to the upper 80's. i would take 70 anyday

I fished this morning early...pretended it was opener weekend...I had 20 degres when I got out at 5am...Just a lttle nippy!! Bites still going on!! Sounds like better weather later this week towards opener!! Anything but SNOW!! Let's go get UM!!
