The snakehead episode is on tonight, and they've got some pretty neat footage. I'd love to fish for these guys someday, I'm just drooling to cast topwaters at explosive toothy critters.

The two remaining weeks before pike opener are going to go SOOOO SLOOOOWWWWWW.. lol.

Fishing for those Snakehead would be a blast. I saw an episode of In-Fisherman where they were targeting them with topwaters in a drainage ditch. Looked like a riot.

I watched some of River Monsters last night. The host of that show holds a baitcaster the same way my 3 year old does. He seems to have little fishing ability.

Your 3 yr old is the worlds greatest 3yr old fisherman. The host of River Monsters has a long list of amazing fish caught. Just look at his tackle. Super-high quality gear.

If you've never watched the show before last night, I think you should take in a few more episodes. I've become a fan more for the actual information than the fishing, but the guy is hardcore. I know if I had a 160lb catfish get in heavy current I would just cut the line or take my chances. This guy walks out into the river and goes for a swim until he gets it in slower current. And this wasn't some normal cat, this thing had teeth that would make a musky envious.

And I agree, his gear is top notch.

That guy breath, eat, sleep on monster river fish. I think it's only guy I ever seen or know that would risk his life for a monster fish.

hate to throw you under the bus, but that dude is is hardcore! saw him battle that monster stingray for like an hour only to blow up is rod! dont think jr. could do that!

He's right-handed, and somehow got roped into that lefty set-up. Probably why he looked like a 3-year-old.

River Monsters has been my favorite show since it's inception. The wait between season one and two was WAY too long.
