bucketmouth64
Where/how do I dispose used cooking oil from turkey fryer? Will automotive shop take it along with used motor oil?
icehousebob
If you can save it til later in the year, some bear hunter would love to get his hands on it. I know of a farmer that burns his brush/branch pile every year and it would work well as a fire starter. And make the fire smell much better. Redlantern
Would someone using bio deisel want it?
icehousebob
Redlantern, I think you might be right on that. And I remember reading about an outfit that picks up used oil from resturants for recycling. You might check with your local burger place to see whether you could dump into their holding tank for pickup. Its worth a shot.
Phred52
I take mine to one of the local resturants and ask to dump it into their collection barrel. They're Happy to take it, they resell it to the bio-diesel guys. We have a couple of converted 'bio mercedes' round town. They smell like a french fries stand at the county fair! bucketmouth64
I'll call some local restaurants. I have the oil in a jug so if I can't find a dumping station I could post later this year for bear hunters.
BLACKJACK
Sounds like it would be perfect for 'boy scout water' (campfire starting fluid).
