Grizz 550 Recall

Just a heads up.

Got a letter yesterday about a recall on a steering mount that needs to be relaced on the NON-EPS models. Also included the obligatory "do not ride until this service has taken place".

Ride safe.

Yep, best friend got the same note, we are taking his in to the dealership in the morning.

Be careful and get'em fixed.

I saw that recall. Ten different Yamaha models for 2008-2010. Says the steering could suddenly fail.

how r the new grizzlies otherwise?? It would be really hard to give up my v-twin kawi but might do it on a new 700 grizzzzzzzzzz!

I haven't received any notice but do you know if the Big Bear 400 2008 was one of the models mentioned in this recall or is it only EPS griz's .

Ten models is quite a range .

I drove a 700 for a little while. Not long enough or the right conditions to get a good feel for it though. Drove it one handed with my daughter in my lap, slowly just checking it out. Seemed like a great machine though.

It is on the Griz 550 and 700's. There are a total of 10 different models of those two styles. Here is the link.

Thankyou kindly for the link sir . It seems only the 550 and 700 are affected . What gets me is why the so called ten models because there really is only two so to speak . I mean really how much do they differ other than colour ?
