haha filling in missing links in prehistoric reptilian genetic code with that of a frog. Better wise up, those dinos can swap genders like that and produce offspring. Yeah Blake I have seen a few channels that look very similar in color, and head shape as a flathead ... idk though ... who knows? Probably not possible, but probably is not definitely ...

yes they can.

there are blue x channel hybrids that are of interest to catfish farmers because of increased growth rates.

there are also channel x bullhead hybrids and flat x channel hybrids.

Just because something is possible in the fisheries lab doesn't mean it happens in real life though. Even if it did the mixed up chromosome numbers would make them sterile, so you won't see a breeding population of the hybrids.
