mozy
I have a few Revo's: a Premier, STX, and SX, and if it's anything like those you will like it a lot. I don't like them quite as much as my Daiwa's, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy more. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Revos.
blakjack23
I have a Skeet, although I haven't been able to get it out on the water yet. Its very smooth and feels great in your hand. And that handle is friggin awesome! I ordered a Skeet handle for my STXHS also and now it feels way better. You won't be disappointed. And at $180 that reel is a steal! I might have to order another...

jalberg
I ordered a Skeet handle for my STXHS also and now it feels way better... Where did you order the skeet handle from? I'd like to try that on one of my SX's.
blakjack23
I called Abu Garcia directly 1-800-458-0556. Here are the parts you need....1117205 Handle washer1141289 Handle (w/knobs)1132928 Handle Nut1132929 Handle Nut Cover1132930 ScrewLookin at around $25 in parts and $5 in shipping. They are in Iowa so parts only take like 2 days to get. That handle makes a huge difference though. Definitely worth the upgrade.
TonkaBass
Just a side note... not sure about abu, but shimanos handles are reverse thread on their nuts... It would suck to strip the threaded handle shaft! (I worded that perfect cecil, you cant make any backdoor comment at that, LOL)
Irish
I would agree with Mozy. You really can't go wrong with a Revo. I have the SX and love it and I have heard many good things about the other models. For $180 that Skeet looks like a great reel. (Plus the yellow highlights look SWEET!) ShoreGuy1984
Ill probaly be buying the same reel within the next couple of days. However, Ive been reading some reviews on the BPS site and there are some people saying that the centrifugal brakes feel cheap. Here are some of the comments made by customers "I was impressed until I opened the reel up to find that the inside of the frame had some paint chipped off. The centrifugal brake system looks cheap and the brakes were hard to click on and off.", "the centrifugal brakes feel cheap when turning them on/off."For those who own the Skeet Reese REVO, do you feel the same about the braking system? Cecil
Whats different about the handle and why does it help?
jalberg
The skeet handle is significantly longer. Better leverage when cranking maybe.I'm not sure how much actual difference it would make, but I'd like to try it.
