Natural gas for ourdoor grill?

Is it possible or legal to run a natural gas line out to my deck for my grill. I would put a shut off valve inside at the start of the line and outside at the end of the line as well. Then run a hose with quick connects on each end so I could move the grill away from the house when grilling.

I bet you need to change the orifice on each burner. I wonder if you don't need a regulator as well. I've seen it done but it was a long time ago and so I don't know exactly what the setup was.

I'd suggest making sure you have a valve for shutting it off somewhere inside the house. This way if someone starts fooling around with things (like a kid) you don't end up running a lot of gas through your grill that you aren't using. Also a safety issue. Plumbing code says you need to have a valve within six feet of the appliance but I suggest putting one near your manifold if you're on two pound gas. I think Tom's right about the orifice. If it's meant to run on propane, it's going to need to be larger for natural gas. Can't tell you about the regulator without seeing the specs on the grill but I imagine you'll need one to bring it down in pressure.
