A few from Hoover Dam and Nascar

Been meaning to post these for a couple of weeks. I'm no professional, these were just from a point-and-shoot. But I got an interesting perspective on a few things.

A view of the dam from the observation deck

The new bridge being built downstream from the dam - an amazing site - to give some perspective, the concrete arches that support the deck are about as wide as a modest-sized house at their base.

A view down into Black Canyon from the top of the dam. You can see where the bridge arches anchor into the canyon wall giving a perspective on how high up the bridge really is.

We were able to get hospitality passes from Jeff Gordon's team for the race which gained us access to the pits and infield before the race. Quite an experience.

Nice shots! We were at the dam a year ago - it's fun to see the progress - driving on that thing will be scary enough, can't imagine working on it!
