Question

I recently purchased a Strike-master Magnum in the 8 inch variety. This new engine ran like a top for the last 70 days, I could hardly believe how well it performed compared to my old Model 30. But thats all in the past. This morning I went to Lake Pepin to fish for some eyes and as usual the magnum fired right up on the 2nd pull, I drilled 5 holes about 15 yards apart, then on the 6th hole it abruptly quit and it hasn't run since. No Idea what went wrong, I pulled the plug and changed it, I switched to new gas upon draining the two week old gas that was in it and nothing, very disappointed in this. I have no Idea what to do other than call strike-master and see if they can get me in tomorrow and fix this thing. I live in Rochester and was hoping to fish on my long three day weekend, guess it wasn't meant to be. I guess we'll see if there customer service is really that good.

Hey I'll go out to Pepin with ya tomorrow. My Solo is running like a charm! It just got done winning the "Lake City Ice Tourney-Drilling Comp" Saturday...

Yes, I cannot believe just how fast this auger cuts. Its the fastest auger I have ever used. It alkso leaves the hole cleaner than a few others that claim to cut as fast.

Well I gotta tell you guys, I made the drive to big lake this morning and they were as good as gold. Upon arriving at the service center door, they immediately asked what the problem was and took the magnum in the back. Much to my delight it wouldn't start for them either! My big fear was it would somehow come to life after the 2hr drive from Rochester. At first the tech thought it might be a coil, so he changed it out and it immediately started. He then went on to change the recoil to the new and improved one and gave me the old one as a back up "very Nice". Then he attempted to start it one last time before handing it back to me and much to every one's amazement it wouldn't start . So after fiddle *%*#$&#^ with it for 20 minutes he grabbed one out of the box and attached to my auger assembly. They promptly told me they thought it was compression and to have a new one and keep the old recoil assembly "just in case". That My fellow fisherman is service.....no complaints.
