Marker Buoy ????

I was fishing last fall and one of the boats in the area I was in had a buoy that seemed to stand up after it hit bottom. I always have the basic Lindy ones around and I also use way points on my graph but i thought the stand up style might be interesting. Because of my computer literacy failure I have been unable to find this type, any one have some suggestions or info on this stand up style?

Paint a Teal decoy to look like a Seagull or Tern and you have yourself a rather stealthy marker buoy.

Google "Berkley Premium Marker Buoy" I think that might be what you're talking about.

My stealth buoy is a small, 3", clear plastic jar. Even on calm days it can be hard to see, especially if you dont know its general vicinity.

paint your marks flat black, harder for others to see from a distance. Another idea is using a bobber, I have rigged up line with loops at 5ft intervals, looks like a floating line.

I hate it when I go back to bouy after drifting or trolling and someone else picks it up first. Lost a few this way.
