Trolling battery ?

I need a new battery for my trolling motor and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a good one.

I have used many brands of Deep cycle batteries over the years and the best I have found is the Optima battery.

They are not on the cheap side but last a long time.

Agree with Harvey on this one. Optima are very good. I have also had good luck with Interstate and Trojab batteries as well.

Both Optima and Cabela's AGM are very good. Get the biggest one you can fit in your compartment.

Trojans are the best I have used, but I cant complain about the Interstates either... Don't go with the real cheap off brands is the main thing

i haven't used too many different ones, but i bought Energizer battery at the sam's club for a good price. it was the biggest deep cycle/marine battery they had and it was only like $65. works great in the boat and for the ice shack. this is the 4th year on it and still takes a full charge and holds it very well.

I'm going to buy another one this spring for going on week long trips where ya can't recharge.

Minn Kota and Dual Pro are the two I have had and have never had a problem with either.

I have a d31m optima (the largest) and run a 55# trolling motor off of it. 6 years of service so far and I won't be replacing this year either. Best money I have ever spent. Get a good charger and charge after every use and it will last a long time. I put in long days and have never killed the battery. Good luck

I have two of the Cabelas AGM batteries and they have been good. They are going on there 5th. year.
