wastewaterguru
Was thinking I needed to add some handrails to the sides of my RiverPro. I was at Menards and saw the 1.25 inch handicap rails that are normally installed in bathrooms and thought they would work great on the boat. Anyone have any ideas on whether this would work or why it wouldn't......??
0 Gordie
John those might work very well but myself I think I would go to a muffler shop and have those guys bend up excatly the size you need and they or someone could weld mounting bases on them that way are an perfect fit to your boat.I would then have them powdercoat painted to what ever color you want themyou could also have them set spots for your rod holder also depending on the style of rod holder you use. 0 opsirc
would think they would work fine, they are designed to have people hang on them. just make sure they asre well anchored.
0 DonBo
Any marine supply sore can get you stainless or aluminum ones in many different sizes, totally finished, ready to install.
0 marine_man
Either spot (Menards or a Dealer) will work just fine... the advantage of the marine ones are that they're a little smaller diameter, not taking up quite so much space on the boat.Either way, be sure to use big fender washers on the bottom side so the bolts don't pull out.marine_man
0 wastewaterguru
Marine ones are quite a bit more expensive since they are chromed steel or stainless steel.Bathroom ones are aluminum or unfinished stainless.
