0 eyebjim
Did you have it connected to a regulator. The new tanks wont just let gas flow out of them if I'm not mistaken. I think you need to have the fitting connected to it before it will flow out.

When I am using my propane nipco stlye heater in the cold to warm up the garage a bit, the tank will freeze and you gotta shake it a bit to get it going again. 0 Chapo
It's not a brand new tank that needed to be purged before it was filled?
0 Jeremy airjer W
The OPD tanks have to have a hose connected to them before any propane will come out of the tank. The old style valves you could crack them open with nothing hooked up and propane would come out. The OPD valves also have an EFD (excessive flow device). If it senses a rush of propane (ruptured hose or even opening the valve to fast after hooking up to an appliance) it will limit/stop the flow of propane out of the valve. If your listening closely when it happens you will here a click. To reset it simple close the valve and wait until you here it click again, then open the valve slowly.I couldn't tell you how many times I had customers trip the EFD!
