EBass
I bought a Cabela's brand softsided tackle box that came with 8 trays which I swapped out for the waterproof trays. That was $80 around 8 years ago and it's still holding up. Well the trays aren't holding up, but the softside case has treated me well so far. Jim Almquist
I did the same thing as Ebass but mine is the 5 tray. The only downside is if you have a lot of plugs you might need something a little bigger.I broke most of my hinges when they were in the Otter when things got rough on the ice. The weight of the jigs really pounds on the hinges. Now I just switch out the boxes for summer or winter tackle and it has worked out pretty good so far. Bobcat45
mrpike I have a brand like that and the lid on the 777 cracked. I emailed them and asked them if I could buy relacement parts. They emailed me back and asked which model and which part and sent me one free of charge. I was happy about that. It may depend on how old it is. I think its worth a try good luck Bobcat45
Comit 2
Plastic boxes break and you get hooks cought up in soft sides. Flip a coin. I use both. Don't leave them in the sun and don't over fill them.
