tackle box woes?

hello all i have a big hip roof tackle box. it broke the hinge it cracked off. i have had a lot of troubles with this brand it is the famous brand rhymes with dano. should i call the company i have in the past and was not empressed they said not to waste there time, i was very cordial. is there another brand out there to try. would you bother it was $50 box its getting a little rediculus thanks for any replies

I bought a Cabela's brand softsided tackle box that came with 8 trays which I swapped out for the waterproof trays. That was $80 around 8 years ago and it's still holding up. Well the trays aren't holding up, but the softside case has treated me well so far.

I did the same thing as Ebass but mine is the 5 tray. The only downside is if you have a lot of plugs you might need something a little bigger.

I broke most of my hinges when they were in the Otter when things got rough on the ice. The weight of the jigs really pounds on the hinges.

Now I just switch out the boxes for summer or winter tackle and it has worked out pretty good so far.

mrpike I have a brand like that and the lid on the 777 cracked. I emailed them and asked them if I could buy relacement parts. They emailed me back and asked which model and which part and sent me one free of charge. I was happy about that. It may depend on how old it is. I think its worth a try good luck Bobcat45

Plastic boxes break and you get hooks cought up in soft sides. Flip a coin. I use both. Don't leave them in the sun and don't over fill them.
