paved trails are paved with asphalt. Some of the old railroad grades in MN have been paved and are also used as biking/hiking trails in the summer.

Go to the Mn. DNR HSOforum and look up the snowmobile trails there. They are marked if they prohibit studs.

I'll most likely go back to Mille Lacs. Stayed at Appeldoorns and liked the cabins. Plus Paul is a pretty good guy. I'm planning on doing a little of both, fishing and riding. It will probably be like the 11th or 12th of Feb that I'll be up. Got a Dr's appt in the morning of the 11th. Might leave after that and stop by and see my mother in St clair then get my sled registered in Mankato and be on my way up north.
