Buckshots!

When fishing walleyes what is the best size to use for these? I was thinking the 1/8th ounch was plenty big

i like 1/8 and 1/4

Ill use all the way up to the biggest depending on how deep and the current. Mostly 1/4 and 3/8 with a 1/2 tossed in every once in a while.

I like the 1/4 and the 3/8. The rattle chamber doesn't leave enough spoon-room on the 1/8 oz.

Speaking of rattle chambers I have had 6 fall off of my buckshots lately. Whats up with that? 4 were while fishing with them and 2 just fell off in my tackle box. I guess its time to call Northland and see what they say about it.

I noticed a couple of mine dont even have the rattle bbs in them. Did northland outsource production or what?

1/8 and 1/4 for me. I really like the JB Lures Rattlin Varmits.

The lures have a very tough paint job on them and they last.

I have eight or ten Buckshots of varied sizes and colors, but the smaller ones get tried first. I've changed out all the hooks on mine. Most have Mustad TripleGrip #8 trebles but a few have a short dropper and a single glow hook. If you use the TripleGrip hooks, have a plier handy; they hook a little too well at times.
