Browning X-Bolt

Does anyone here own one, and can you give me your opinion. Thinking of getting one in .243. So many good rifle choices out there its hard to decide.

Ultimately, the gun is for me, but my young son is left handed and I'm right. The safety is easier for a lefty on the x-bolt over some other options. For when he inherits it someday.......

I have a Browning A-Bolt in a 7mm-08. They are pretty much the same just that an X-Bolt is the newer model of an A-Bolt. I know the X's have a stainless bolt in them and they are one of the lightest rifles on the market,or so the guy at the sporting store says so,and they seem to be over others. I think it would be a good choice for a new rifle. My dad is left handed and he shoots a right handed 300 Win. Mag A-Bolt and it works just fine for him.

I bought a X BOLT SS last year.... I bought a .270 WSM. I am really happy with it... A very good trigger from the factory. I got a nice 8 point buck with it this year at 350 yards. Of course I enjoyed shooting this gun so much I put in a lot of time at the range with it and knew how it shot... I don't think there is a terrible gun out there. Some are better than others.
