Small Radio for Portable

Anyone have any suggestions for a small AM\FM radio for a portable. It would be nice to listen to the Wild games when out ice fishing in my portable. Any suggestions? Not sure how they will work when it's cold. When I looked I couldn't find anything. Everything was a Ipod radio or all digital..

I have probably bought 4 or 5 different portable radios the little type that run on about 2 AA Batteries. These have poor reception and trying to dial into a station is just frustrating.

I have found a nice little set up that works great! I found a portable CD player with a digital radio tuner. Then I found some little portable Ipod style speakers. This set up works EXCELLENT! Yet small enough to fit almost anywhere with little added weight!

I found both the CD player and the speakers at Thrift Stores! The CD player was like $4 and they can be found EVERYWHERE at a larger thrift store like Goodwill or Salvation Army! Then I found some small Ipod speakers for $6 at a Goodwill. So for $10 I have a nice little set up that I can also use in my boat! The speakers run on 3 AAA batteries and the CD player on 2 AA. Its also nice to play a CD when there is nothing on the radio! If I dropped them down a hole its not like losing a $200 Ipod or anything!

I have a little Sony thats been great, 10-12 years on it bouncing around in buckets, the boat, in the ice shack wet froze and cold, on the jobsites in the dirt and dust just keeps going. Think I paid $15 for it. I think I saw one at Wally World recently. Takes 4 AA batterys I run Lithiums in it change them maybe 2 times a year.

I've been using my radio on my phone with the external speaker, but really have to be careful that it is in a safe spot. I'll probably look for a smaller AA in the future. I've used c cell radios in the past and the batteries do last forever, the phone's battery only lasts enough for the outing
