Buddy heater hose issue

PK3

Question

Anyone have a hose go bad or become plugged? Heater runs fine off a 1 pounder but will not light from the hose. Did remove the filter and still will not light. Shoud you be able to blow through the hose? Can you blow compressed air through it?Any advice?

Thanks.

Only if you can compress the spring plunger on the inside of the end that connects to the heater.

Are you giving it enough time for the gas to get through ? I have a 10' hose and I find it works a lot better if I prime the hose before I connect to the heater by pressing the little valve in till I smell gas and then hook it up to the heater. I do this outside with no open flames around.

I just expierenced the same issue. Bought a brand new 12' hose to hook onto my big buddy heater along with the filter. The pilot would light but it was really small like the heater was not getting enough gas from my 20lbs tank. I tried a 1 lb tank and it worked fine. I then tried my friends 12' hose that was the same as mine and that also worked. It turned out I had a bad hose. I exchanged it for a new one and it works perfect now.

Ok here is my problem the pilot doesnt lite or takes forever to light on the tanks and the hose. When it lites it will run for 10 min and then shut off, just fed up with it and might go back to the sunflower head.
