Lowrance Endura Out&Back

Fathom

Recommended Posts

Recently recieved one as an early xmas gift. Do they have any lake map chips for these yet? If so where would a guy find one?

Also, if anyone has one and would like to share the pros/cons of this unit I would appreciate it. I could still return it for another unit. Thanks in advance.

Most of the time it is the best bet to look on the manufactures HSOforum for additional maps. I just bought a Garmin Oregon and told my in-laws that I need the Lakemaster Minnesota maps for it. They ordered it straight from the Garmin site.

As far as good/bad with the Lowrance Endura series, do a Google search "Lowrance endura review" and you will find a lot of websites that are strictly for GPS that will give good reviews.

The Garmin Lakemaster program has about 3500 lakes on it, which is awesome. The Lowrance has about 800-900 lakes on it. That is one of the biggest reasons I bought the Garmin.

I bought the Out&Back a couple of months ago and love it. No maps were available when I bought it but I was told they would be available shortly. No big deal, I went out with the boat before freeze-up and marked a ton of spots I need to try hard water fishing on.

My son played with it this weekend, he couldn't believe how easy they are to operate. He is right, I have yet to read the manual that comes with it and don't see any need to.

Keep it, you'll get tons of use out of it. Navionics is due to have a chip for it out shortly also, so there will be choices.

I wanted to let you guys know that Lowrance is working to get the Navionics microSD cards for the Endura units released later this month. Once I have a firm date on the release I will do a post on this forum.

Thanks!
