drakerebel
I've been meaning to ask this, but what time of day does everyone seem to have the most activity? it may depend on the lake in particular, but in general? or perhaps an example of the lake terrain you're fishing (ex. 10am since it takes a bit for the northerns to move into the flats...etc.) thanks guys in advance
merkman
One lake I spear has the best luck from 9AM to 11 AMAnother from 11AM to 1 PM.I have never had good luck from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM but sometimes it picks up just before last light. mnspearingguider
depends on lake, weather, water clarity, etc. But most lakes I have been on have a run in the am and one in the pm. Whitefish chain of lakes (where I spend most of my time) has a good run from sunlight until 9-10am. then another good run the last hour of light.(that is for Pike) Whitefish on the other hand roam all day, but usually gets pretty good around the lunch hour. Again weather plays a big factor in this(overcast, sunny, windy, etc). Flats or breaks also will make a difference. Breaks for me are usually a little later in the am, while the flats can be right away. I believe each lake has its own time schedule. Gordie
I agree with what everone has stated so far but for me anytime of day is the right time even if the pike are not in the hole
Laska
10am-2pm is mainly when I get all mine, 11am-1pm is my prime no matter the day on my lake but when I was up north it was from 9am-11am
bassNspear
i would agree that 10-2 is the best time, but hard to really point it out, becuase each lake is different. i think the best time is in the middle of the afternoon, 1-
Mike89
just being out there is the right time, the fish is just the bonus!!!!mike89
Capt'nMorgan
Lately it seems the 10-1 time frame has been working good for me. Which is nice so I don't have to get up so early since work mid shift. last year on a different lake it was just after sun up.
