Nils Powerpoint or Non-powerpoint

Looking to buy a back-up blade for my Nils from the ODPS... Does the Powerpoint (PP) make a tremendous difference in speed or hole alignment? I currently have the plain blade w/o the pp and I notice that the holes are sometimes askew //

My only hesitation is that the little blades might dull easily and need to be sharpened more often.... Any truth to that?

What are your folks thoughts...?

(Can't wait to get out there!)

I have yet have the power point go dull. I think its do to being a small surface area. Definitely go the power point rout. It does a great job keeping the auger from skipping around especially on ice without snow. It also gives a head start before the rest of the bit takes over.

The center point might save the main cutting blades from getting banged. As far as guiding the auger straight down the hole they help some there as well. I have only seen one blade that didn't cut because of the center point though and that was because someone tried to sharpen it.
