jigging-matt
Look back for the mod post, once I get off work I will try to find my pics of my voyeager where I used Foam isolation in the tube and made places for everything, then covered it. Looks nice and really cut on the weight.

stick
I did one for an Otter Lodge out of Aluminum and 1/4 plywood that was very light. I'll bet the frame was less than 5 lbs and the plywood and carpet wasn't much either. Overall lightweight and VERY functional.

Did you weld the aluminum frame or is there another way of doing it?

I'd love to see how this turned out, I've been thinking about doing something similar and finishing it with fiberglass but don't know how ambitious I want to get... stick
I used aluminum angle iron and pop-riveted it together. I'm on season 3 or 4 this year and still holding up well. It's not something that you'd stand on, but that wasn't the intent. Mine was the prototype, and then I built one for a buddy and used a metal-blade in a chop saw that made it go faster and made a better union overall. I wish that we could PM as I'd send you my email address. jgrahek898 at M-S-N should work. I don't check it too often, but give it a try if you want me to email you some pix in a PDF.
