I know that we are all itching for some ice so we can get out and enjoy our sport. But please relax and wait for some good ice that will support your weight safely.

The water is cold and things should freeze over in the next few nights but it will be a good week to 10 days before things will be safe if it stays cold.

Go and enjoy the Ice Show this weekend and hopefully we will be able to get out next weekend. Don't rush it and not live to regret it!

I did earlier tell the wife that this could be a bad year of people falling through the ice. Please, don't prove me right. Go to the ice show, just not on Friday, I don't handle crowds well.

This might be one of the first years in a few where the Ice Show won't conflict with people actually ice fishing. Cold temps are here though so maybe the weekend after this upcoming one will be go time statewide!!!!!
