I'm ready for Ice.

Recommended Posts

Depending on my schedule and the weather, I will hit the ice first either on shallow Mississippi backwaters in SE Minnesota, or on ponds here in Iowa City.

If the long range forecast on Accu Weather is close, first ice for me should be "only" two weeks away...

I'm looking at Spirit right now, literally, and it looks a LONG way from frozen. Tomorrow is all about pheasants for me. Esox, keep us posted on the ice I'll be here every other weekend. I'm on the N. Shore between cottonwood and the grade.

Mine will probably be a smaller, sheltered farm pond in Marshall County. The last two years its been Dec. 5th but won't make it this year.

Well the date may change, but we all know that when Oldbear hits the ice it will probably be at 4:00AM.

I always hit browns lake or snyders bend. Don't know why, but it is starting to be a tradition. I will definately be on ice by my birthday, Dec 15.
